Measure Distance and Area

Use the Measure Tool to measure the distance and area of various features on any imagery layer. Measurements will be displayed in your organization's chosen units, which Admin users can manage on the Settings > Organization page. Check out our support article about Account Settings for more information on how to update your organization's units of measurement.

How to use the tool:

1. Click the ruler icon on the right-hand side of the property map.
2. Select Distance or Area mode.
3. Click on the map to begin drawing a line (for distance measurement) or a shape (for area measurement).
4. View the total measurement within the Measure Tool modal.

Add an area measurement as a note:

After measuring the area of a feature, click "Add note" to quickly add your observation to your Notes panel. The measured area will be saved as a polygon with the note and will be used as the note's location.
